SFI Students Lead INDIA Bloc Rally in Delhi

Delhi saw a sizable demonstration on Saturday as members of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) joined the INDIA Bloc rally. The students marched along major thoroughfares, carrying banners that highlighted issues such as education funding, unemployment and secularism. Organisers said the rally aimed to consolidate left‑leaning forces ahead of upcoming elections. Police reported that the procession remained peaceful, with no incidents of violence or arrests. The SFI leadership reiterated its commitment to amplify student concerns within the broader political coalition.

The rally, which began near the India Gate and proceeded towards the Parliament area, attracted participants from several colleges across the capital. Speakers addressed crowds, urging youth to engage in democratic processes and to resist policies they deem anti‑people. Observers noted the event as a sign of renewed student activism in the national political arena.

Authorities have deployed additional security personnel to manage traffic and ensure public order, while allowing the rally to proceed without major disruption. The INDIA Bloc, a coalition of leftist parties, described the march as a demonstration of unity and a call for progressive reforms.
