A newborn girl's body was discovered in a discarded bag in a field near Tehra‑Teheri village, Madhya Pradesh. Authorities suspect the infant was disposed of shortly after birth.

In a field close to Tehra‑Teheri village, under the jurisdiction of Rahatgarh police station, a discarded plastic bag was found containing the body of a newborn girl. The bag lay on the ground, and when the landowner, with the help of nearby villagers, opened it, the infant’s body was revealed.
The discovery prompted an immediate police report. Investigators noted that the baby’s umbilical cord was still attached, indicating that the body was likely discarded soon after birth.
Police are now probing the circumstances surrounding the death and disposal, while local authorities are cooperating with the investigation. No further details about the mother or the circumstances of the delivery have yet been released.
The incident has raised concerns about post‑delivery safety and the handling of newborns in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh.
