The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has announced a ₹1 crore financial aid package for the family of deceased Traffic Inspector Dilip Puri and a special appointment as a Sub‑Inspector for his wife.

On a recent announcement, Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, declared a ₹1 crore financial assistance for the family of the late Traffic Inspector Dilip Puri, who had died while on duty. The CM also revealed that Puri’s wife will be appointed to the position of Sub‑Inspector on a special, compassionate basis.

The decision follows the tragic death of the traffic officer in Devasa, a small village in the state, where his dedication to public safety was widely respected. The government’s gesture aims to provide immediate relief to the bereaved family and recognize the wife’s potential to continue her husband’s legacy.

Officials said the financial package will be disbursed in two installments, with the first tranche released within a month. The appointment of the wife as a Sub‑Inspector is expected to be finalized after completing the necessary administrative procedures.

The announcement has been welcomed by local residents, who view it as a compassionate response to a tragic loss. The state government has pledged to monitor the implementation of the aid and the appointment closely.
