Karnataka Darshinis Hike Filter Coffee Prices Amid Rising Costs

The cost of the quintessential South Indian beverage, filter coffee, has gone up in Karnataka. Local darshinis, who are the primary vendors for this traditional drink, have announced price hikes in response to increasing business expenses.

This change affects the daily routine of millions of Indians who rely on darshinis for their morning or evening caffeine fix. The price revision is a direct result of the rising costs associated with running these small-scale food stalls.

While the specific percentage of the increase was not detailed in the initial report, the move highlights the financial pressures faced by small vendors in the state. Consumers across Karnataka are now expected to pay more for their regular servings of hot filter coffee.

This development underscores the broader economic impact on the food and beverage sector in the region, where input costs continue to pressure small-scale entrepreneurs.
