A new Vande Bharat Sleeper train will run between Varanasi and Delhi starting 31 October, offering faster and more comfortable travel for passengers.
The Indian Railways has announced the launch of a new Vande Bharat Sleeper service between Varanasi and Delhi, scheduled to commence on 31 October. The train will provide overnight travel with sleeper coaches.
The service will run from Varanasi Junction to New Delhi Railway Station, covering approximately 800 kilometres in about 10 hours. It will offer AC 3‑tier, AC 2‑tier and Sleeper class accommodations.
The introduction of the sleeper variant aims to meet growing demand for night travel between the cultural hub of Varanasi and the national capital, and to reduce congestion on existing routes.
Passengers can book tickets through the IRCTC website or app, with priority given to senior citizens and women. The train will be operated by the North Central Railway zone.
The launch is part of Indian Railways’ broader push to expand the Vande Bharat fleet and enhance connectivity across the country.
