Former President Donald Trump warned that a Democratic victory in the upcoming midterm elections could see him adopt the moniker ‘Mr Veto’, hinting at a forceful use of veto power.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the nation ahead of the midterm elections, stating that a Democratic sweep in Congress would prompt him to become what he dubbed “Mr Veto.”
He warned that if Republicans lose their majority in either the House, the Senate, or both, he would adopt an aggressive stance on any legislation he opposes, positioning himself as a decisive veto authority.
Political analysts noted that Trump’s remarks aim to rally the Republican base by emphasizing a confrontational approach should the opposition gain control, while also underscoring his continued influence over the party’s narrative ahead of the November vote.
