The One About Matthew Perry Review: Friends Co‑Stars’ Absence Makes It Intimate

The Indian Express has published a review of the limited series 'The One About Matthew Perry', which chronicles the life of the late actor. The review highlights that the show’s focus on Perry’s personal journey is intensified by the absence of his former 'Friends' co‑stars, allowing the narrative to remain intimate and concentrated on his own experiences. Critics note that this choice keeps the series grounded in Perry’s own story rather than the broader ensemble dynamics of his most famous role.

The reviewer commends the series for its nuanced portrayal of Perry’s struggles and triumphs, pointing out that the lack of familiar faces from 'Friends' prevents the plot from becoming a nostalgic retelling. Instead, the series offers a fresh, personal perspective on the actor’s life.

Overall, the review suggests that 'The One About Matthew Perry' succeeds in delivering a heartfelt biopic, with the intimate setting providing a more authentic look at the actor’s legacy.
