Food safety officials in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, confiscated over 3.5 quintals of sweets made with palm oil, after a bus from Kanpur arrived in the city.
Food safety officials in Satna seized more than 3.5 quintals of sweets that had been transported on a bus from Kanpur on Sunday evening. The sweets were found to contain palm oil, a substitute for the traditional ingredients used in milk cakes. The seizure was part of a broader crackdown by the department on food adulteration in the district. Authorities said the items were removed from the vehicle before they could be sold to consumers.
