The weakening Murasu cyclone will bring rain to five eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, after which temperatures are set to fall and clear skies are expected for Dhanteras and Diwali.
The Murasu cyclone, which has lost much of its intensity, is forecast to produce rainfall on Wednesday across five districts in the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh. Meteorological officials said the showers will be confined to those districts as the system moves further east.
Temperatures are expected to dip during the night over the next four days, with a possible fall of up to two degrees Celsius. A more pronounced chill is likely to set in from the second week of November, according to the state weather department.
Despite the short‑term rain, the outlook for the upcoming festive period is favourable. Clear skies are predicted for both Dhanteras and Diwali, allowing celebrations to proceed without weather disruptions.
