Meteorological officials say Kolkata will see rain and a noticeable temperature drop as the city prepares for the upcoming festival.
The West Bengal Meteorological Department has issued a weather bulletin indicating that Kolkata will experience rainfall over the next few days. Alongside the showers, a moderate decline in temperature is forecast, offering relief from the recent heat.
Residents are advised to carry umbrellas and dress in layers as the city transitions to cooler conditions. The timing coincides with preparations for an upcoming local festival, which is expected to draw large crowds to public venues.
Authorities have urged event organizers to monitor the weather updates and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of participants and attendees.
