South Korean game developer Krafton confirmed that its popular battle‑royale title PUBG will be adapted into a live‑action series for Netflix.
Krafton announced that its flagship battle‑royale game PUBG will be turned into a live‑action series for Netflix, marking the first major gaming franchise from the region to make such a transition.
The series will be produced in partnership with Netflix’s original content division, aiming to translate the game’s survival‑combat narrative into a cinematic format. Details on cast, release date and episode count have not been disclosed.
Industry analysts say the move underscores the growing appetite for gaming IP on streaming platforms and could further boost PUBG’s popularity in India, where the game retains a large player base despite past regulatory hurdles.
The announcement was reported by Indian Television Dot Com, and Krafton indicated the series will be available globally on Netflix.
