Ludhiana Truck Driver Arrested with 20 Kg of Opium

Police in Ludhiana seized 20 kilograms of opium from the cabin of a truck driven by a local driver. The driver was taken into custody at the scene and is being processed under the Narcotics Control Act. The arrest came after a routine inspection by the state police’s anti‑drug unit. Authorities said the cargo was hidden in the cab, a tactic used to evade detection. The driver faces charges of drug trafficking and will be tried in a special court.
