Indore's Sarafa Chaat Chowpatty to Close for 3 Days Ahead of Diwali

The renowned Sarafa Chaat Chowpatty in Indore will be closed from 6 November to 8 November, covering the Dhanteras to Diwali period, as part of the city’s preparations for the festival. The closure will affect 56 shops that usually attract thousands of visitors each night. Local vendors have expressed concerns over the loss of business during the peak season, but authorities assured them that the shutdown is temporary and aimed at ensuring safety and cleanliness. The market, known for its street food and vibrant night lights, is expected to reopen on 9 November with enhanced security measures and festive decorations.
