India and Kazakhstan have signed a bilateral extradition agreement. The treaty is intended to enhance cooperation in fighting transnational crime and terrorism.

Officials from India and Kazakhstan signed the extradition treaty in New Delhi, marking a significant step in bilateral law‑enforcement cooperation. The agreement provides a legal framework for the transfer of suspects and the sharing of evidence in cases involving terrorism, money laundering, cybercrime and other serious offenses. By formalizing extradition procedures, the treaty aims to close loopholes that have previously hindered cross‑border investigations. The signing comes as part of India’s broader strategy to strengthen international partnerships against transnational crime and terrorism.
