In anticipation of the 2027 assembly elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken proactive steps to ensure a fair and impartial electoral process. The ECI has issued orders for the transfer of various election-related officials, including EROs, ADMs, SDMs, tehsildars, block development officers, and divisional and municipal commissioners, across Goa, Uttar Pradesh, and three other unnamed states. This strategic move aims to minimize potential biases and ensure the integrity of the electoral process in these states.
