Amitabh Bachchan greets fans behind bullet‑proof shield at Gulf News event

Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood star, appeared before a gathering of fans with a transparent bullet‑proof shield separating him from the crowd, as reported by Gulf News. The shield was positioned at a short distance, allowing the actor to wave and speak while maintaining a clear visual connection with the audience.
Organisers indicated that the protective barrier was a precautionary measure, reflecting heightened security protocols for high‑profile public figures in large gatherings. Such measures are routinely employed when there is a perceived risk, ensuring the safety of both the celebrity and the attendees.
Fans expressed enthusiasm despite the barrier, cheering and holding up signs as Bachchan acknowledged them through the shield. Event officials emphasized that the safety arrangement was standard practice and did not impede the celebratory atmosphere of the meet‑and‑greet.
The use of a bullet‑proof shield underscores the increasing emphasis on security at public events involving prominent personalities, balancing fan interaction with necessary precautions.
