49 Gujarat Youth Congress Office-Bearers Suspended for Missing Rahul Gandhi Rally

The Gujarat Youth Congress has taken disciplinary action against 49 of its office-bearers, suspending them for their absence from a rally led by national Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Party officials said the officers had repeatedly failed to attend the event, which was part of the party’s campaign to mobilise voters ahead of upcoming elections. The suspension is intended to reinforce accountability within the youth wing and signal the party’s seriousness about campaign participation. The suspended members are expected to appeal the decision in an upcoming meeting of the state Congress committee.
