The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana will receive free LPG cylinders as a festive gift for Diwali.
The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has announced a special festive initiative for the upcoming Diwali celebrations. As part of this move, households registered under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will be provided with free LPG cylinders.
This announcement aims to support low-income families and ensure they have access to clean cooking fuel during the festival season. The state administration has identified beneficiaries under the Ujjwala scheme to receive this benefit directly.
The decision highlights the state government's focus on welfare schemes for women and rural households. The distribution of these free cylinders is expected to begin in the lead-up to the festival, ensuring timely delivery to eligible families across the state.
