Uttar Pradesh police recovered crores in cash buried in drums at a village home after noticing a sudden lifestyle change in two brothers who returned from jobs during the pandemic.
Uttar Pradesh police have uncovered a significant amount of unaccounted cash, valued in crores, buried in drums within a residential property in the state. The discovery followed a sustained investigation into the sudden and unexplained financial transformation of two local brothers.
The case originated during the 2020 pandemic period when the two siblings abruptly resigned from their jobs and returned to their native village. Since their return, residents observed a drastic shift in the family's lifestyle and spending habits, which appeared inconsistent with their known income sources.
Suspicious activity prompted law enforcement to monitor the household. During a search operation, officers dug up the property and found drums containing large sums of cash. The source of the funds and the legality of the transaction are currently under scrutiny by the investigating agency.
