Uttar Pradesh government has revised its character verification norms for government job recruits. Individuals involved in violent activities aimed at regime change will be ineligible for state employment.
The Uttar Pradesh administration has introduced updated guidelines for character verification of candidates selected for direct recruitment. Under the new rules, individuals found to be involved in violent activities with the objective of changing the government will be disqualified from securing state government jobs.
However, the government has clarified that mere political ideology or affiliation will not be a basis for disqualification. The registration of an FIR or ongoing investigations against a candidate will not automatically lead to ineligibility.
The final decision on a candidate's suitability will be determined on a case-by-case basis, considering the specific circumstances and the nature of their involvement in any alleged violent activities related to regime change efforts.
