Truck carrying 550 bags of urea seized, one detained in Mizoram

Mizoram police intercepted a truck transporting 550 bags of urea, a staple fertilizer, during a routine check. The authorities reported that the cargo was seized under suspicion of illegal possession or diversion. One person associated with the vehicle was taken into custody for further questioning, while the remaining crew were released pending investigation. The seized urea will be handed over to the state agricultural department to prevent any disruption in the regulated supply chain. Officials said they will continue to monitor fertilizer movements to curb black‑market activities.
