During a visit to Bidupur in Vaishali district, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), criticized the BJP for attempting to divert attention from Bihar's pressing issues by focusing on recent statements made by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge. Yadav accused the BJP of employing political tactics to avoid addressing the state's challenges. He specifically mentioned concerns such as rising crime rates, widespread unemployment, rural-urban migration, recurring floods, and the plight of farmers.
