The Supreme Court has directed the Central government to provide a response regarding the current whereabouts of Barman. The court is seeking clarification on his status after he became untraceable following a trip to Bangladesh.
According to the petition, Barman's wife stated that he initially traveled to Siliguri for medical treatment. Subsequently, he proceeded to Deoghar, after which he could not be located.
The apex court has taken note of the family's concerns and the lack of information regarding his safety. The Centre is now expected to submit its reply to the court's query on this matter.
