Sikkim Transforms into Winter Wonderland as Fresh Snow Covers Nathu La and Gnathang Valley

A sudden snowfall has covered the Nathu La pass and the nearby Gnathang Valley, creating a pristine winter landscape in Sikkim. The fresh snow, reported by local weather stations, fell over several hours, leaving a thick blanket of white across the high‑altitude terrain. The snowfall has attracted attention from tourists and photographers eager to capture the picturesque scenery. Local authorities have urged travelers to exercise caution, as the snow can make roads slippery and visibility reduced. Despite the challenges, the event is expected to boost winter tourism in the region, with visitors hoping to experience the rare beauty of the Himalayan passes in their snowy glory.
