The state government has unveiled a ₹62.87 crore scheme to develop tourism infrastructure at Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary in Bihar.

The Bihar government has approved a tourism development programme worth ₹62.87 crore for Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the Munger district. The announcement was made through a press release issued by the consultancy firm Vajiram & Ravi.

The scheme aims to enhance eco‑tourism by upgrading visitor amenities, creating nature trails, and improving connectivity to the sanctuary. Authorities intend to balance infrastructure growth with the protection of the area's rich biodiversity.

Implementation will be overseen by the state forest department in partnership with the tourism ministry, which will monitor progress and ensure compliance with environmental guidelines.

Officials expect the project to generate employment opportunities for local communities and to attract domestic and international tourists, thereby boosting the regional economy while preserving the sanctuary’s ecological integrity.
