The Rashtriya Janata Dal clinched a decisive win in the Darbhanga MLC elections, overturning the expected advantage of the Bharatiya Janata Party in a last‑minute turn of events.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured a decisive win in the Darbhanga MLC elections, overturning the expected advantage of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The victory came after a last‑minute shift in voter sentiment, with RJD candidates gaining significant support in the key constituencies of the district.
Election officials confirmed the results early on the evening of the polling day, noting that the RJD's performance marked a notable setback for the BJP in Bihar's local governance landscape.
Analysts say the outcome could influence the balance of power in the state’s legislative council and may affect upcoming state-level elections.
