The Rajinikanth starrer 'Jailer 2' completed its 16th day in theatres, with box‑office earnings that could overtake the current Tamil Nadu record held by 'GOAT'.
Tamil cinema heavyweight Rajinikanth's sequel 'Jailer 2' entered its 16th day of theatrical run across Tamil Nadu. The film's box‑office performance this week has kept it in close contention with the benchmark set by the earlier blockbuster 'GOAT'.
Industry sources report that the cumulative collection in the state has risen steadily, positioning 'Jailer 2' as a potential new record‑holder for the region's highest grossing Tamil film.
If the trend continues, the film could eclipse 'GOAT's' earnings, which have stood as the benchmark for Tamil Nadu's box‑office success for several years.
The strong hold is attributed to Rajinikanth's enduring star power and positive word‑of‑mouth among audiences, with theatres in Chennai and other major cities reporting full houses.
