Rahul Gandhi formally launched the Congress campaign in Punjab, recalling his pre-entry meeting with late singer Sidhu Moosewala and describing him as a dynamic young man.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi officially kicked off the party's election campaign in Punjab during a public rally. The event marked the formal beginning of the Congress's outreach efforts in the state ahead of the upcoming elections.
During his address, Gandhi paid tribute to the late singer and political figure Sidhu Moosewala. He recalled a meeting he had with Moosewala before the latter joined the Indian National Congress. Gandhi described Moosewala as a dynamic and talented young man who expressed a strong desire to contribute to the development of Punjab and the nation.
The rally also featured sharp political rhetoric, as Gandhi directed criticism towards the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He used the platform to highlight what he perceived as the opposition's shortcomings, aiming to consolidate support for the Congress ticket in the state.
