Patiala deploys Flying Squads to monitor stubble burning

The administration in Patiala has taken proactive steps to address the recurring issue of crop residue burning. To ensure compliance with environmental regulations, special flying squad teams have been deployed across the district.

These mobile units are tasked with keeping a close watch on agricultural fields during the critical post-harvest period. The primary objective is to identify and deter farmers from setting fire to stubble, which contributes significantly to air pollution.

The deployment of these squads is part of a broader strategy to maintain air quality and enforce existing guidelines against open burning. Authorities aim to create a deterrent effect through constant surveillance and rapid response capabilities.
