The National Testing Agency has pushed back the fee payment deadline for the December 2026 UGC NET exam to November 1, giving applicants who have submitted their application forms but not yet paid an extra day.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on October 31 that the last date for paying the examination fee for the December 2026 UGC NET will now be November 1, extending the window only until midnight tonight. The extension applies exclusively to candidates who have already completed the online application form but have not yet cleared the fee.
The UGC NET, scheduled for December 2026, is a nationwide test that determines eligibility for assistant professor positions and Junior Research Fellowships in Indian universities. Candidates must submit both the application form and the requisite fee to be considered for the merit list.
NTA officials have urged all pending applicants to complete the payment at the earliest to avoid disqualification. The fee can be paid through the official portal using net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI. For any technical issues, candidates may contact the NTA helpdesk as listed on the website.
