Only 730 out of 1,800 seats in Bhopal's Global Skill Park are filled, prompting authorities to target admissions from office boys to managers.
Bhopal's Global Skill Park, a major infrastructure project valued at 1,500 crore rupees, is grappling with a significant enrollment shortfall. Despite the substantial investment, the facility has failed to attract the expected number of students for its advanced courses.
According to recent data, only 730 out of the total 1,800 available seats across nine advanced courses have been filled. This means that approximately 60% of the capacity remains vacant, raising concerns about the utilization of the state's flagship skill development initiative.
In response to the low turnout, authorities have announced a new strategy to boost admissions. The plan involves targeting a broader demographic, including individuals ranging from office boys to managers, to ensure the seats are utilized effectively.
The move aims to address the gap in the job market by upskilling a wider section of the workforce, although the initial slow uptake has cast a shadow over the project's immediate success.
