MP Food Safety Seizes 5 Tonnes of Adulterated Mawa from Ashar in Seohar

A joint team of the Food Safety Department and police in Seohar, Madhya Pradesh, has seized approximately 5 tonnes of suspected adulterated mawa from an Ashar vehicle in Shyampur. Samples have been sent to a laboratory for quality testing.
The Food Safety Department in Seohar, Madhya Pradesh, conducted a major enforcement operation in the Shyampur area on Tuesday. A joint team comprising food safety officials and police personnel intercepted an Ashar vehicle carrying a large consignment of dairy products.
Officials reported that the vehicle was carrying approximately four to five tonnes of mawa packed in 107 sacks. The entire consignment was seized by the authorities as it was suspected to be adulterated or of substandard quality.
Following the seizure, samples of the mawa were collected and sent to a certified laboratory for detailed analysis. The tests will determine the exact level of adulteration and whether the product meets the mandatory food safety standards.
The department stated that the samples are currently undergoing quality checks, and further action will be taken against the transporter and the supplier based on the laboratory report.
