Actress Medha Rana, known for ‘Border 2’, has been confirmed to appear alongside Ahan Shetty in director Tinu Suresh Desai’s upcoming film ‘Sanki’.
Bollywood source Bollywood Hungama reports that Medha Rana, who rose to prominence with the 2022 action drama ‘Border 2’, has been signed to share screen space with newcomer Ahan Shetty in the upcoming project ‘Sanki’. The film is being directed by veteran filmmaker Tinu Suresh Desai, known for his work in the action‑thriller genre.
Rana’s involvement marks her first collaboration with Shetty, who is the son of veteran actor Suniel Shetty and is building his own film career after a debut in 2022. The pairing is expected to draw attention from both fans of the actress’s earlier work and audiences following Shetty’s emerging trajectory.
‘Sanki’ is slated to begin principal photography later this year, with producers aiming for a wide theatrical release in 2025. While plot details remain under wraps, Desai has hinted that the narrative will blend high‑octane action with a contemporary storyline, leveraging the chemistry between the two leads.
Industry insiders suggest that the addition of Rana, who has demonstrated strong screen presence in ensemble casts, could enhance the film’s marketability, especially in the North Indian circuit where ‘Border 2’ performed well.
The announcement has generated buzz on social media, with fans sharing speculative posters and expressing excitement about the new on‑screen duo.
