KVS Alerts Parents to Fake ‘Samagam’ Apps, Cites Data‑Misuse Risks

KVS issued a public notice after discovering several mobile applications masquerading as official Samagam portals, which the central school system uses for fee payment, attendance and communication. The organization said these apps are not sanctioned by KVS, lack security safeguards, and could harvest parents' and students' personal information, including names, contact numbers and bank details. Parents are urged to download only the authentic Samagam app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and to verify the publisher's credentials. KVS also advised reporting any suspicious app to the cyber cell.
