Kolkata Police Parade Three Accused, Semi‑Naked, to Reconstruct Crime

Kolkata Police, as part of an ongoing investigation into a recent offence, publicly paraded three individuals identified as suspects. The men were made to appear semi‑naked during the demonstration.
The reconstruction was carried out at a police facility to illustrate the alleged sequence of events, officials said. Authorities added that the visual display would aid investigators and help the public understand how the crime was committed.
The move has attracted attention to police methods of evidence presentation, though no further details about the case, charges or victim have been released. The suspects remain in custody pending further legal proceedings.
While staged reconstructions are not new in India, the semi‑naked presentation is unusual and has sparked debate over procedural propriety.
