The final voter list for Karnataka has been published, with over 1 crore names removed after the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) drive.
The Election Commission of India has released the final voter list for Karnataka, marking a significant step in the electoral process for the upcoming state assembly elections. The list includes over 5.14 crore voters, a reduction from the previous draft list due to the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) drive. 1.07 crore names were deleted from the list after the SVEEP drive, which aimed to ensure accuracy and remove duplicate entries. The final list will be used for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections scheduled for May 2023.
