Students of the MBBS 2026 batch at Dr. SN Medical College in Jodhpur have lodged a formal complaint with the National Medical Commission, alleging mental harassment and abusive behaviour by senior students.
The Dr. SN Medical College in Jodhpur has again become the centre of a ragging controversy. Juniors from the MBBS 2026 cohort claim that senior students subjected them to mental harassment and used abusive language, including calling the juniors “boss”.
The students sent a collective e‑mail to the National Medical Commission (NMC) detailing the incidents and requesting an investigation into the alleged misconduct. The email lists several episodes of psychological pressure and verbal abuse that the juniors say have affected their academic performance and well‑being.
So far, the college administration has not released a statement regarding the complaint. The NMC has acknowledged receipt of the email and is expected to initiate a formal inquiry into the allegations.
The case adds to a growing list of ragging incidents reported across Indian medical colleges, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of anti‑harassment policies.
