The Jharkhand government has increased security measures for the Joint Entrance Test (JTET) across 986 centres to ensure a smooth examination process.
The Joint Entrance Test (JTET) is the state‑wide examination that determines admission to engineering colleges in Jharkhand. In preparation for the upcoming test, the state government has stepped up security across all 986 exam centres.
Additional police officers have been deployed to each centre, and CCTV cameras will be installed at key locations to monitor the premises. Checkpoints and controlled access points are also planned to prevent any unauthorized entry.
The move is aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the exam and ensuring that candidates can take the test in a safe environment. Officials say the enhanced security will help curb incidents of cheating and other disruptions.
Candidates and parents have welcomed the increased measures, noting that a secure setting will reduce anxiety and allow the examination to proceed without incident.
