Chandraman Jalan, a resident of Jaipur, was awarded Rs 8,000 by the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission after filing a complaint against PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd. Jalan alleged that a packet of Lay's chips he purchased contained only 4 grams of chips instead of the declared 15 grams. The complaint was filed after Jalan served the chips to guests and noticed the discrepancy.
