The Finance Ministry has revised its projection for India’s fiscal year 2027 growth to 7.3%, up from the previous estimate, signalling confidence in the country’s economic trajectory.
The Finance Ministry announced on Tuesday that it has raised its forecast for India’s gross domestic product growth for fiscal year 2027 to 7.3%.
The new estimate supersedes the earlier projection of 7.1% that was released in the ministry’s last update. The revision reflects a more optimistic outlook for domestic consumption, investment and export growth.
Economists say the higher forecast could improve investor sentiment and support the government’s plans for infrastructure spending and fiscal consolidation.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who presented the revised figures, highlighted the resilience of the economy and the role of policy measures in sustaining growth.
