Indian infrastructure giant L&T has been awarded a significant contract to build a section of Dhaka's metro rail system.
L&T, a leading Indian infrastructure and engineering firm, has been selected by the Bangladesh government to construct a portion of Dhaka's expanding metro rail network. This contract is part of a larger initiative by the Bangladesh government to implement three metro rail projects in Dhaka, with a total investment of Tk 2.5 trillion (250,000 crore). The project aims to alleviate Dhaka's notorious traffic congestion and improve public transportation options for the city's residents.
