The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its shortlist for the October Player of the Month award. The list spotlights South Africa’s emerging fast bowler Marco Jansen and West Indies’ reliable opening batsman Shai Hope.
Both players have delivered notable performances during the month, with Jansen’s pace and wicket‑taking ability standing out in recent series, while Hope’s consistency at the top of the order has helped his side post competitive totals.
The ICC’s monthly award recognises individual excellence across all formats of the game. The final winner will be announced later this year, adding to the prestige of the accolade.
