A weekly special train between Hubballi and Khatiapara will operate from 31 Oct to 5 Dec, stopping at Ratlam, Chittorgarh, Ajmer and other stations to aid festival‑time travellers.
The Indian Railways has announced a special weekly service between Hubballi and Khatiapura to cater to the surge in passenger traffic during Diwali and Chhath Puja. The train will commence its journey on 31 October and run until 5 December, calling at key stations including Ratlam, Chittorgarh and Ajmer among others.
The schedule is designed to provide convenient onward travel for holidaymakers, with the outbound service covering the festive period and a return service operating from 2 November to 7 December. By linking central Madhya Pradesh with Karnataka, the service aims to reduce crowding on regular trains and offer a smoother travel experience.
Railway officials have emphasized that the special train will run on a fixed weekly timetable, ensuring predictability for passengers planning trips to and from the region. Additional amenities such as reserved seating and catering are expected to be available, though exact details will be posted on the official railway portal.
Travelers are advised to book tickets in advance through the IRCTC platform, as seats are likely to fill quickly given the concurrent festive celebrations across the country.
