Himachal Pradesh authorities have suspended 96 pharmaceutical units and removed 92 substandard drug batches from the market following a CDSCO alert.

Himachal Pradesh has taken decisive action against pharmaceutical companies operating within the state after receiving an alert from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). The state authorities have halted the operations of 96 pharmaceutical units involved in the production or distribution of non-compliant medicines.

In a coordinated effort to ensure public safety, officials have pulled 92 batches of substandard drugs from the market. These batches were identified as failing to meet the required quality standards set by the regulatory body.

The move aims to prevent the circulation of unsafe medications among consumers in the region. The state government has emphasized its commitment to strict enforcement of drug safety regulations in response to the central agency's findings.

This crackdown highlights the ongoing scrutiny on the pharmaceutical sector in Himachal Pradesh to maintain high standards of drug quality and efficacy.
