Haryana's Special Task Force intercepted two vehicles carrying 25,000 cartridges intended for smuggling into UP and Bihar, leading to the arrest of five individuals.

The Special Task Force (STF) of the Haryana Police has successfully intercepted a major arms smuggling operation, seizing 25,000 cartridges from two vehicles. The operation was carried out after intelligence inputs indicated that a large consignment of ammunition was being moved out of the state.

According to police sources, the two cars were found to be carrying the illicit stock, which was intended for distribution in the neighboring states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The STF team conducted a thorough check on the vehicles and discovered the hidden cartridges during the inspection.

Five individuals associated with the smuggling network were arrested in connection with the incident. The seized ammunition and the arrested suspects have been handed over to the local police for further investigation and legal proceedings.

This significant seizure highlights the ongoing efforts by Haryana law enforcement to curb the illegal trade of firearms and ammunition across state borders. Authorities are continuing their surveillance to prevent similar activities in the future.
