Ghaziabad recorded an AQI of 516, the highest in the National Capital Region, eclipsing Delhi's 456 and raising concerns about air pollution levels.
On a recent monitoring day, air quality sensors in Ghaziabad logged an AQI of 516, marking the highest reading in the National Capital Region. Delhi's AQI stood at 456, still above the national safe threshold but lower than Ghaziabad's spike. Health officials have urged residents to limit outdoor activities and wear masks, citing risks of respiratory ailments. The surge aligns with a broader trend of deteriorating air quality across NCR, prompting calls for stricter emission controls.
