Anil Kumar Jha, after two decades with the BJP, joined the RJD in 2020 and secured the Darbhanga Graduate constituency seat in the Bihar Assembly elections.
Anil Kumar Jha, a former general worker with the Bharatiya Janata Party, has entered the Bihar Legislative Assembly as a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Jha spent 20 years working within the BJP’s organisational structure before switching allegiance to the RJD in 2020.
In the 2020 assembly elections, Jha contested the Darbhanga Graduate constituency, a seat reserved for graduates, and emerged victorious. His win added a new face to the RJD’s legislative strength in the state.
Political analysts note that Jha’s experience in party organisation and his local ties in Darbhanga have helped the RJD consolidate its presence in the region. The party now counts him among its key representatives in the assembly.
