A video circulating online showing a man saying he was in Delhi only to explore has been identified as old footage, unrelated to the recent INDIA Bloc rally.
A video that has been shared widely on social media claims that a man attending the recent INDIA Bloc rally in Delhi said he was in the capital merely to explore. Fact‑checking agencies have traced the clip to an earlier recording, predating the rally by several months. The original footage was posted on a personal channel and does not reference the political event.
The misrepresentation appears to have been used to downplay the rally's significance by suggesting participants were merely tourists. However, organizers of the INDIA Bloc rally have clarified that the gathering was a political mobilisation with participants from across the country.
Authorities have not taken any legal action, but the incident underscores the rapid spread of outdated or unrelated videos in the digital age, especially around high‑profile political events. Viewers are advised to verify the source and date of such content before sharing.
