A video showing a massive crowd in Argentina has been falsely shared online as footage from an India Bloc rally. Fact-checkers have verified that the clip is unrelated to the Indian political event.
A viral video claiming to show a massive gathering for the India Bloc rally has been identified as misleading. The footage actually depicts a large crowd in Argentina, not at any political event in India.
Social media users shared the clip with captions suggesting it was from a recent rally in India, but fact-checkers have verified the source. The visual evidence confirms the location is in Argentina, making the association with the India Bloc rally incorrect.
This incident highlights the ongoing issue of miscontextualized videos being used to spread misinformation about political events. Users are advised to verify the source and location of viral clips before sharing them on social media platforms.
