Domestic Worker Wages Rise Globally, But at a Slower Pace

The International Labour Organization (ILO) has released a report highlighting the global trend of rising wages for domestic workers. While the report acknowledges a positive increase in wages, it also points out a concerning slowdown in the rate of growth. This suggests that despite progress, domestic workers still face challenges in securing fair and adequate compensation for their work. The ILO report also notes a reduction in the informality of domestic work in many countries. This indicates a positive shift towards greater regulation and protection for domestic workers, but further efforts are needed to ensure their rights are fully upheld.
